TICKETS TO THE MAYA ANGELOU EVENT HAVE SOLD OUT!

"An Evening with Maya Angelou" will take place in Moore Auditorium on the college campus, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 each, and will be available through the college Web site at www.mhc.edu and at the Mars Hill College Bookstore on Main Street in Mars Hill.Dr. Maya Angelou is a remarkable Renaissance woman who is hailed as one of the great voices of contemporary literature. As a poet, educator, historian, best-selling author, actress, playwright, civil-rights activist, producer and director, she continues to travel the world, spreading her legendary wisdom. Within the rhythm of her poetry and elegance of her prose lies Angelou's unique power to help readers of every orientation span the lines of race and Angelou captivates audiences through the vigor and sheer beauty of her words and lyrics.

Tickets to Dr. Maya Angelou's November 16 performance at Mars Hill College will go on sale to the general public on Monday, October 30. "An Evening with Maya Angelou" will take place in Moore Auditorium on the college campus, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 each, and will be available through the college Web site at www.mhc.edu and at the Mars Hill College Bookstore on Main Street in Mars Hill. At least 500 tickets will be available to the general public. Seating will be open, not reserved, and seats may not be held or saved for groups. The auditorium will open for seating on November 16 at 6:30 p.m.
