Campus Security
The department's primary goal is to
strive toward providing a safe and secure environment for the college
community to accomplish its mission.
The department has cellular phone capabilities and a mobile phone/radio
system that will allow a person to talk directly with the officer
on duty, which enables the officer to respond quickly to incidents
reported. Our radios are equipped with a scanning function that
will allow the officer to monitor other emergency radio traffic
in the area. This also allows our department to be in constant direct
contact with the emergency medical services, local fire department
personnel and law enforcement agencies.
We have installed blue light emergency telephones in strategic areas of the campus so that the campus security can be reached quickly.
Safety & Security is everyone's responsibility and must be viewed as a joint effort for our programs to be successful.
The Campus Security Department is responsible for security and emergency response at Mars Hill College. It is also responsible for providing services tailored to meet the unique needs of the Mars Hill College Community.
