Crossroads

Broyhill Chapel

Mars Hill College, an academic community rooted in the Christian faith, seeks to promote intellectual, spiritual, social and personal growth. Crossroads is a weekly gathering of the Mars Hill College community—students, faculty and staff—wherein we seek to live out this ideal. Crossroads programs are held at 11 a.m. in Broyhill Chapel each Tuesday classes are in session (unless otherwise noted below), during which time no official meetings or classes are held. Crossroads is for the College a primary means of exploring how matters of faith intersect with what’s going on in the classroom and the world. This is done through biblical reflection, personal testimonies of faith, preaching and speaking, art, music, drama, prayer and meditation, and forums of dialogue around pertinent topics that go to the core of what it means to be a reflective Christian. Crossroads utilizes traditional and non-traditional worship styles, traditional and non-traditional speakers and presenters, and is intentionally diverse in the perspectives and experiences presented. Sometimes experiential, sometimes intellectual, Crossroads programs will always seek to engage the Mars Hill community in an ongoing conversation about the role and place of faith in our lives.
