1. Conley comments that he didn’t notice at the time how many minority kids were on the “vocational” track in his middle school.  Why, do you think?
2. Describe a time when you hid something from your parents.  How did that make you feel?  Do you think Conley feels better or worse at the end of this chapter when he gets caught?
