Food Service at Mars Hill College
Mars Hill’s contract dining program offers flexibility, variety, convenience, nutritional and vegetarian options, and virtually all you can eat. The dining program features Chartwells Dining Service’s top quality meals and service in each of the three locations on campus. All students living on campus are required to purchase a meal plan as part of their housing contract.
Pittman Dining Hall is our primary dining facility on campus and is open seven days a week. It offers an “all you care to eat” format for every meal. There are regularly 8 different stations to choose from at each meal each with a variety of options: Market Carvery, Fresh Grille, Trattoria, Sandwich Central, The Filling Station, Garden Emporium Salad Bar, Double Treat Bakery Dessert Bar, and Menutainment. Pittman Dining Hall has special events and promotions and co-sponsors many activities with Mars Hill Campus Activities Board. Pittman is a great souse of community events as well as great food.

In addition to Pittman, students are able to use their meal plan at The Lion’s Den Grill and the College Street Ice Cream and Soda shop. The Lion’s Den provides a variety of quick menu items for students that need a fast meal or snack. Hamburgers, sandwiches, French fries as well as well as packaged salads and subs can be found here. The Soda Shop is an ol’ fashioned soda shop that features treats such as milk shakes, ice cream, donuts, muffins, cookies, and coffee.
