MHC

Each year, public schools from across western North Carolina visit the Liston B. Ramsey Center for Regional Studies, to tour the Rural Life Museum, have a clogging lesson, and learn about the heritage, history, and culture of the region. Field trips are tailored to meet the specific requests of the contact teacher, and best fit the North Carolina History requirements for the 4th and 8th grades. There is no charge for the field trip, except for lunch. The cafeteria requires that they receive payment in either cash or check for the entire group. For more information, contact Karen Paar at (828) 689-1262. See the itinerary here
