Winter Graduation To Be Held December 17
Mars Hill College will confer bachelor’s degrees on about 59 December graduates at the upcoming winter graduation ceremonies, to be held this Friday, December 17, in Moore Auditorium, beginning at 5 pm. Together with August graduates, approximately 65 seniors will be eligible to participate in the ceremony. The most common majors among all graduating seniors are education and business.
Student speakers at the ceremony will be Michele Renee Riley, a sociology major from Asheville, NC; Caitlin D. Murnahan, a business administration major from Bloomfield, MI; Andre Lemonte Wilson, a business management major from Black Mountain, NC; and Rachel Kourtni Roberts, an elementary education major from Weaverville, NC.
The invocation will be given by Paola Elena Aybar Timénez, a business administration major from the Dominican Republic. Rachel Elizabeth Shipley, a musical theatre major from Charlotte, NC, will perform “Astonishing” from the musical Little Women.
A reception for the graduates and their families will be held at 3:30pm in Weizenblatt Gallery, prior to the commencement exercises.
