Students who do not have United States citizenship are considered international students. These students must submit the following information to the Admissions Office for consideration:

  1. Application with $25.00 application fee
  2. Two letters of recommendation from an individual who can attest to academic ability and personal character
  3. Official transcripts from previous or current institutions(translated into English if necessary)
  4. SAT, ACT, or TOEFL scores
  5. National examination results such as A levels (United Kingdom), or Baccalaureate (France)
  6. The Mars Hill College Statement of Financial Conditions for International Students. Retain one copy.
  7. A document prepared and signed by your bank, or other financial institution, certifying that sufficient money is available to support you for at least one full year at Mars Hill College. This must be translated in English.

Note: The minimum TOEFL score for admission to Mars Hill College is 500 (written test) or 173 (computerized test).

Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. However, it is strongly recommended that international students complete their application several months prior to enrollment to allow for I-20 processing.

A comprehensive orientation to the college as well as academic and personal counseling is specially prepared for international students. The International Club provides casual outings, speaking opportunities in the community, and fellowship for all students. The college is a member of both NAFSA: Association of International Educators and the Institute of International Education. Mars Hill College offers limited financial aid based upon academic merit for international students. Further inquiry concerning international students may be directed to the Admissions Office.
