Redesigned for the 2003–2004 academic year, the English major is comprehensive yet flexible. Students, in consultation with their faculty advisors, design courses of study that both satisfy the program requirements and suit their interests.

In addition to the Liberal Arts in Action general education curriculum shared by all Mars Hill College students, English majors take a minimum of 39 semester hours in the program.
