Math Education:
Scholarship Info: The math department awards several departmental scholarships each year to students majoring in mathematics. Traditionally, the Sams and Medford Math Scholarships are awarded to students majoring in mathematics and pursuing a career in education. Scholarship award amounts are variable, based on interest earned on the endowment. Recent recipients of these scholarships include Jerome Ramsey, Lisa Byington, Sarah Birdsong, and Cynthia Whitt.
