points. At each point, candidates
must demonstrate professional and academic
knowledge, teaching potential and skills,
and the values, ethics and dispositions
appropriate to the Teacher Professional.
Transition One – Admission
to the Teacher Education Program
Applications for admission to the
Teacher Education Program are accepted
from students at the end of the second
semester of the sophomore year. Requirements
for acceptance include:

Completion of ED 205 (Introduction
to Education)

Submission of a completed application
-
Passing scores on Praxis I, SAT,
or ACT
-
Minimum cumulative GPA (grade point
average) of 2.50
-
Interview and recommendation from
the major department
-
Teacher Education admission interview
-
Portfolio requirement: creation
of a working electronic portfolio
-
Approval of the Teacher Education
council
