Incentive tuition: $300/person if 6 or more students attend from the same
school and/or band program.

Summer Percussion Camp Exercise Packet – available at registration

Students must provide their own instruments (battery – drum/harness; front
ensemble – mallet instrument)
Mars Hill College cannot loan equipment to
students so plan accordingly.

Students will be able to purchase drum sticks or mallets if needed -
available at registration during check in
If interested in participating in the drum set masterclass, bring a drum kit
(minimum - snare, bass, hi-hat, throne)
Daily Schedule
Every camper will be placed according to ability – not age or experience.
Instrument specific classes for marching, concert/orchestral, and world
percussion
Ensemble rehearsals and marching basics.
Evening activities will include additional master classes, recitals,
swimming, games, and movies.
Housing and Meals
Accommodations are provided in campus dormitories. Bathrooms on each hall
are community style, with individual shower stalls. All bedrooms have two
twin beds. Not all rooms are air-conditioned. Students are encouraged
to bring a fan. Linens are provided.
Meals are all you can eat buffet style, served in the College cafeteria.
Transportation
Mars Hill College is located 18 miles north of Asheville, NC. Transportation
to Asheville is available by bus or via the Asheville Regional Airport.
Shuttle service from the airport or bus station may be arranged by
contacting Airport ground transportation at (828) 681 0051. Please make
shuttle arrangements before arrival in Asheville.
