A stretch, a sigh, a lullaby.
Circled fabric awaits her length.
A shake, a yawn, what’s
Dark what’s dawn?
Time is neither saved nor spent.
A simple life is quite alright,
Words hinder wonder anyways.
A laid-back awe, she’s
Quite a doll!
Laze and dream create her day.
The lightest touch, a mindless rub,
Exalt! Like heaven fell’t her feet.
A dangling string she’ll
Prance and sing.
Simple joys so pure, so sweet.
She wonders not of bills and bags,
Cares, concerns evade her mind.
What more to purr and
Simply learn?
Quaint thoughts of heav’n, god divine.
I envy her while constants run,
I lack the ease of quiet song.
I run, I strive, I
Starve, I lie.
She watches, peaceful all ‘long
It seems the pains of life evade
My four legg’d, furry, feline friend
A joy, a joy!
Must living be -
Save beginning, middle, end.
