How did you find out
about MHC?
Initially I thought that I would be coming to Mars Hill
to be a serious football player, however while applying
and talking to some of the great people at Mars Hill I
found out about the Bonner Program. I felt this was something
that interested me and would add a different learning
avenue to my college experience. It turned out to be a
good decision for me. The Bonner Program, proximity to
home, and the great people here has made me love every
minute of my Mars Hill experience. What
is your favorite thing about being a student here?
My favorite part about being a student here at Mars
Hill is the fact that it is a small town environment
that is conducive to learning. I feel like I have every
opportunity to be successful here, in the classroom,
as well as outside the classroom. I have been able to
get involved in some key decision making organizations
here at Mars Hill, placing me in a position where I
am most effective that is being a leader and making
a change for the better. My time here will have prepared
me for a competitive business environment that we live
in today. I have also been able to meet some great people
who have helped me along the way.
What are your
future plans?
My plans for after graduation are to accept an offer
made to me by Morgan Stanley, working as a financial
analyst in New York City. This will be a great experience
for me, but I ultimately want to use this as a stepping
stone in achieving one of my ulitmate goal in becoming
a financial consultant for individuals and business
in my community.
Do you feel
MHC has prepared you for the career you want?
I definitely feel that my time here at Mars Hill College
has prepared me for the career I want to have. The small
school environment paired with easy access to professors
and other on campus resources will make me a standout
out candidate for any job that I may apply for.
What is your
favorite memory of MHC?
I believe that my favorite memory of MHC will be the
time that I served as the Residential Director of Myers
Dormitory, the largest on campus with over 115 students.
I have been able to meet a large number of the incoming
freshmen here at Mars Hill College and hopefully have
a positive impact on there lives as they too look to
be successful in life afer Mars Hill. All of the residents
have different personalities making the job that more
challenging and intersting. Not to mention I have the
best room on campus!
