What is my Mars Hill email user name and password?
To access Webmail, Moodle or Self Service go to www.mhu.edu. You will find a link near the top of the page. Your login is your nine-digit student ID, preceded by the letter S. Your default password is mHc plus your date of birth. For example, if your date of birth is January 14,1975, you would log-in as follows:

Is Financial Aid available?
To find out if your qualify for Federal loans and grants, you must fill out the FAFSA (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov). Some scholarships and regional funding are also available.
How do I get my textbooks?
You can purchase your books at the Mars Hill bookstore, open 9AM to 4:30PM M-F, 11AM-2:00PM Saturdays. You can also order your books online at mhcbookstore.com, or call 828-689-1412.
What time is class each night?
Classes are generally held from 6:00PM to 10:00PM, with the exception of classes at the Glen Raven site in Burnsville. These classes are from 5:30PM to 9:30PM. Please plan on attending the entire time, each week.
Will I need a parking sticker?
It depends on the campus where you will be taking classes. If you are taking classes at Mars Hill, you will need to purchases a parking sticker FOR DAY CLASSES ONLY. If you are taking classes at AB Tech, a parking pass will be provided on your first day of class. For Blue Ridge CC, you will see the receptionist in the Sink Building.
Will I need immunization records?
You will need immunization records only if you are taking an on campus DAY CLASS at Mars Hill University.
How do I register for classes each semester?
After your initial registration process, you can register for classes online, through Self Service.
Will I have an advisor?
You will be assigned an academic advisor. This assignment will be sent to you via Mars Hill email.
Where will my classes be held?
Please check Self Service immediately prior to the beginning of class for the most updated room assignments.
What happens in the event of bad weather?
Call the WEATHERLINE at 689-1728 after 3:00PM for a voicemail announcing any cancellations for off-campus (Asheville, Burnsville) night classes. For on-campus classes, call your individual instructors office for a voicemail cancellation message.
