C&E produces some of the finest cultural events in the Southeast including international touring companies and hot music stars. They also manage the MHC summer camp programs.
S.A.R.T.
The Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre is a 30 year tradition on Mars Hill College. Housed in historic Owen theatre, they stage fantastic performances all year long.
Outreach Offices
Title III
The primary challenge of the MHC Title III initiative is to create a rigorous liberal arts learning environment that 21st Century students will find attractive, stimulating, and meaningful.
CARA
The Center for Assessment and Research Alliances (CARA) was established in 1995 as an outgrowth of 20 years of community research by Mars Hill College faculty and students.
Ramsey Center for Regional Studies
The Appalachian Reading and Archives, The Rural Life Museum, Bailey Mountain Cloggers and annual cultural events dedicated to mountain traditions.
Hester Center for Peace and Justice
Faculty members from across the campus volunteer to work with each other, with students, and with the wider community to promote responsible discussion and action centered in Christian perspectives on issues of peace and justice for the world and for human society.
TPS
The Library of Congress’s Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) program works with a number of colleges, including Mars Hill, to help teachers use the Library’s vast collection of digitized primary sources to enrich their classroom instruction.
Upward Bound
MHC Upward Bound is a college prep program for 9th – 12th graders in Buncombe, Madison, Mitchell and Yancey Counties.
