Leadership

President Dan Lunsford
Mars Hill College is led by Dr. Dan Lunsford, the 21st president in the college’s history. Dr. Lunsford is a 1969 MHC alumnus, and served as Dean of the School of Education prior to being selected interim president in 2002 and subsequently assuming the post, permanently, in 2003.
Board of Trustees
Management of the college is legally vested in the Board of Trustees, which delegates authority to the president for the operation of the total college program in keeping with established procedures and policies. The board approves all major policy decisions, adopts the official budgets of the college and passes on other major matters of college business.
Board of Advisors
This board was established to assist the college in the achievement of long-range goals. By consulting with the president and the trustees, advisors add variety, strength and experience to the administrative structure of the college. The board is comprised of interested persons — both alumni and friends of the college — of various Christian faiths and from several states.
President’s Cabinet
Dean’s Council
